Disaster Recovery System
After the Village of Dexter, MI was struck by a tornado, the community found itself in the midst of something it had never envisioned – a disaster recovery operation. Several homes were completely destroyed, but the most visible remnants of the storm were the hundreds of trees scattered across lawns, parks, and roadways. With countless municipalities, volunteers, and businesses wanting to get involved with the clean up efforts, each party recognized the need for a central contact point, but no one knew where to start. That's where Incipi came in.
Incipi went to work and created an online database so local municipalities and nonprofit groups could stay on the same page. The first step was to identify which property owners needed assistance and determine the scope of the work necessary.
While the property damage was being accessed, we opened the site to the volunteer coordinators so they could record, schedule, and contact volunteers.
